Disk Jockey – Eureka

Bicoastal Media is seeking an on-air personality for Power 963 (KFMI), a Contemporary Hits Radio (CHR) station with a high-energy format.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all station, Bicoastal Media, and FCC guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Assist clients in creating copy and production content for commercials.
• Ensure programming is consistent and appropriate for the station format.
• Engage listeners through entertainment, information, and community involvement.
• Interact with listeners via phone, social media, video, website, and live events.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional interactions with listeners, clients, and colleagues.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for promotions, events, and contests.
• Work assigned on-air shifts, including occasional live or pre-recorded sessions.
• Write and produce station imaging.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• 1 year of radio broadcasting experience (preferred).
• 1 year of event coordination experience (preferred).
• 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).

Education and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid California driver’s license (required).

Pay:

• $34,320 – $40,000 per year

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to speak and hear regularly.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 20 lbs.
