Talk Show Host

SUMMARY: Bicoastal Media is seeking an on-air personality for KPNW-AM. This is a format with high
community engagement cover topical events locally, regionally, and statewide.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adhere to all guidelines, policies, and procedures of the station, Bicoastal Media, and the FCC.
• Ensure programming is consistent and appropriate for respective formats.
• Generate increased ratings by being entertaining, informative, and community oriented.
• Interact with listeners via phones, social media, video, website, and on-site appearances.
• Maintain positive attitude & interacts professionally with listeners, clients, and co-workers.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop upcoming show and guest segments.
• Contact, and book guests daily.
• Work assigned shifts on-air.
• Research topics for discussion on-air
• Performs additional job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 3 years radio broadcasting experience, preferred

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
• Highschool diploma or equivalent, required
• Valid Oregon State driver’s license, required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required
to speak and hear. This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping,
crouching, crawling and climbing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Job may
require lifting or moving up to 20 lbs.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a part-time position. Work days are typically 5am-
2pm, Monday through Friday. Some duties may fall outside of normal everyday hours for remote
broadcasts and other station functions.
